Outdoor Play & Discovery: Hallmarks of a Holy Child Education

Cornelia Connelly believed that the arts, physical play, and the practice of self-expression were central elements of a holistic approach to the education of children. Enhancing Holy Child’s outdoor play spaces will allow our children more opportunities to discover, explore, and exercise, contributing to their wellbeing and growth.

We are delighted to share that the 2025 Raise Your Paddle will focus on enhancing the outdoor play spaces and opportunities for our children. Our students’ dreams are to add: 

Dual zip lines on Wendover Field

An awning for the Gaffney Family Field patio, providing shade and shelter while enjoying outdoor community events and games

An additional Gaga Pit, plus upgrades to our existing Gaga Pit so both have rubber flooring

Tables & chairs for the Tudor Building Upper Patio for students to use during recess, Extended Day, and lunchtime (weather permitting)

Upgraded and additional sports equipment

Our students dreamt up a big wish list, and your support of this year’s Raise Your Paddle will allow us to inspire joy in our students and spark their imaginations as we strive to fund many of these enhancements — or hopefully all of them!
